Life and Fandom FEELS

Hello DA! Been a while.

I'm not very active here now-a-days. Although I do comment/add faves occasionally still. Hope everyone is staying safe and sane out there in this mad world. Or, at least as sane as you possibly can anyway. As for me and my life.. It is, what it is. My husband is in the middle of his second deployment. 3 months down, 3 to go. I get a phone call from him everyday. It's a nice reassurance to me to hear his voice and know that he's safe. At least as safe as he can be. We're both just really looking forward to him coming home & getting back into the groove of life here.

During this deployment, I stayed here in Cali and was given the responsibility of looking after his car for him. At first, I was honestly not so confident in this plan. "Looking after" means driving it. Mazda RX-8, manual. Back about 3-4 months, I couldn't get it out of 1st gear without stalling/bucking it. So, once or twice a week during the wee hours of the morning, I'd fire it up and force myself to drive it. (wee hrs being 5-6am, and that bitch is LOUD) It wasn't pretty at first, but I have since gotten much better. So much better in fact, that I have been driving it during the bright hours of the day with other drivers on the roads with me. It's a great feeling, and my confidence in driving it grows every time I take it out. Feels like I've gained a new level, or ability in the game of life.

Work still eludes me. I've had interviews, and gotten phone calls back saying they weren't interested in me. Or, even better yet, I've applied to the local Home Depot here in town. I've received two phone calls so far for the Home Depot back in Florida that wants to hire me. Umm WTF?! I'm 3,000miles away from there & I've applied here! Not there. HERE! So that's a thorn in my side.

So, who out there is looking forward to PS4?! (or xbox one? not my thing.) Of course, the big one that has my full attention is Kingdom Hearts III Final Fantasy XV looks fan-fucking-tastic! Hopefully the ball is rolling on that game and it does in fact get released. Assassin's Creed: Black Flag oh and Drive Club looks so UNF! Have you seen the detail that game has?!

About 2 months ago I finally took the plunge into Doctor Who. WHAT HAVE I DONE?! ASDJKL; I sort of went and bought 2 tank tops and 2 tee shirts of Doctor Who. Oh, and a belt. Don't judge me. Then, the beginning of this month, I got into Supernatural. A bit late to the party, yea I know, but WHAT THE FUCK KINDA SHOW IS THIS?! The FEELS it invokes should be illegal!! An other thing I was late for is Okami. I finally played and beat it just this week. Really amazing game!

I'll end this semi pointless journal by saying the flu shot is bullshit. Guess I'd forgotten why I've avoided it for years now. It has the opposite affect at first. Damn thing makes you sick! Seriously. What are the odds that, I get my flu shot (well nasal mist) and no more than 3 days later, I have the sniffles and sneezing fits!? And I'm pretty sure I have a fever. Yea. Haaate.
